Weekend Warrior Support Recognized
Image

During the past two years, Weekend Warrior has repeatedly stepped up to support several critical ASA activities. According to ASA Chairman, Bob Mason “Warrior has made several partnership activities a reality.”

Early on, Weekend Warrior owner Mark Warmoth recognized the need to support ASA Washington level lobbying efforts. He followed this up when Warrior joined the “Partners in Dune Safety” highway billboard program. Their billboards at the Glamis Beach Store currently feature a litter education message.

In January of 2005, Weekend Warrior donated a trailer to BLM that displays the “Take Time Out For Safety” message endorsed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Imperial County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO), the United Desert Gateway (UDG), and the ASA. They followed this with another trailer specially built to display the ASA 2005-06 Tatum give a way car.

To top this all off, when Warrior joined the Off-Road Business Association (ORBA), they dedicated their monthly dues to support a staff person to carry out on going ASA tasks relating to membership and business sponsor records.

More recently, Warrior’s Administrative Assistant Michele Garnett successfully encouraged several suppliers to support the “Leo the Lizard” trash bag program. Onan, Dometic, and Atwood all made significant contributions to this program.

On October 21, the ASA Board presented a recognition award to Mark Warmoth and his management team. During the presentation ASA President Grant George observed, “Warrior’s contribution along with many others have made it possible for ASA to continue to Protect our Right to Ride.”
