…mile after mile after mile on untouched, wind-smoothed sand?
…under such a brightly lit moon that you could turn off your headlights?
…Glamis in the summer?
You can do all of this, in one night with us!
Come out to Glamis with the aSa Night Ride Group for some off-season fun in the moon-lit dunes!
Our group has found a fantastic way to get our dune-fix during the off-season.... we hit the dunes of Glamis at night, when they are cooler! And what better time to Night Ride than under a full moon.... every month!

Following is our 2010 schedule, closely dictated by the Lunar Schedule:
Sa:May22~Su:May23, 2010
Sa:Jun26~Su:Jun27, 2010
Sa:Jul24~Su:Jul25, 2010
Sa:Aug21~Su:Aug22, 2010
Sa:Sep25~Su:Sep26, 2010
And your 2010/11 Dune Season starts just weeks later.
Take note that the above dates are correct! While you will find discrepancies in the 2010 ASA Calendar, the Night Ride Trips will be made per the schedule posted here. Sorry for any inconvieniences this may be causing you.
We'll be arriving at Glamis on Saturday Night just after the sun sets. Once everyone sets up camp [i.e. unloads the ride, ice-chest and camp-chair] and puts on their dress, we'll hit the dunes. A series of group rides will take place during the night with camp breaks between them. Some nap a bit, but most ride & rest their way through the night.
On Sunday morning as the sunrises, we ride as much as we can before the heat gets to be too much. After those rides, we gather back at camp and load up to head home. Usually we're on the road in time to catch McDonalds breakfast in Brawley... and even then it can be well over 100* already.

ANYONE can fit into the aSa Night Ride Group!
Attendance is open to any member of the ASA! If you're not a member, you can sign up for free at: Join the ASA!
We always plan to include two riding groups... one faster and more experienced than the slow one, and the other one more laid back and slower than the fast one..............both are extremely fun

Keep an eye on this forum for any carpooling groups being organized in your area to help beat the fuel costs.
We will circle the wagons at Gecko Road's Pad 3 & 5 (with / near Glamis Dunes.com group).
Not to be too formal, but here are some guidelines...

Glamis is much different in the summer!
Smooth Dunes galore!
Sand contains less moisture, and is therefore softer than any other time of the year!
No traffic and a lot less People!
The temps typically range from 80* lows to 110* highs ( +/- 5 degrees)
We hope to see you in the summer sands!
The aSa Night Ride Group...
Spanning your sand addiction from one season to the next!
