First trip of the season Thanksgiving weekend Hopfully Tuesday-ish to Sunday night at Wash 16 next to the super loud camp no doubt. Not to mention all the WILD WILD people that stay in that wash not to mention the weird stinch that exists in that wash that is for some reason the dustyest wash of them all. The trains ALL slow down there and blow their horn 24/7 and it's impossible to get to your camp spot without getting stuck...But if you want to camp there feel free

Wood, we may very well join you the weekend of Nov 10, 11, 12th. We typically go with another couple that is more or less family and sometimes my bro in law and inlaws come too. We may have to put this one together.

In addition, since we have a prior engagement on the Saturday following Thanksgiving(mad about that one) we will also be in Wash 1-4 Nov 17-20 but not there for Thanksgiving weekend.

I'll be camping with a huge woman with a bad temper and a taste for rye whiskey and a love of a good fight!  My wife!!

We'll get there Wednesday before Turkey day and stay until either Sunday or Monday.

Wash 16 where it's haunted and full of bad people and mean dogs.

Not to mention my wife, who's 6'3" and can bench 500lbs.

Anyone that wants to learn how to properly bury a turkey is welcome to come by early Turkey day morning and I'll show you how to do it. :D

I don't sleep in a tent. I sleep in a tent sized hard sided box with wheels.
I have tracks closer to my house that where we camp in the washes.
I'd be glad to snuggle with Max & Maggie but they might pop my air mattress.

Maybe Vet's Day w/e (10-12) depending on work schedule  kid's HS football, etc, etc, etc. We're doing Thanksgiving at O.W. for sure, so close, yet so far away. Oh well, gotta get dirt and rocks outta everbody's system to make them appreciate the sand that much more.

Mike,
Since I'm such a misanthrope, we're going to wash 40 to get away from everybody for Thanksgiving.

OH crap I thought WW was just joking about Wash 40  But what ever. Sounds good to me. But can WoodGlue make it from Wash 10-40 and back on a tank of gas? Guess your going to have to bring your quad down in your truck and we'll leave from there for a ride. Same situation with my Ody. Once we get to each others camp there no telling if we'd have enough fuel to go on a ride, then make it back to camp. [-o<

I bet Woody can make it from W10 to W40 and back on one tank if he rides down the road and doesn't hit the dunes

Wood, change me from Gecko to W11-16 on Vet's weekend (if we make it, I'll be over there instead) and IF we make it, we'll certainly be over at Olds for the mini clean-up on Saturday!

WOW I actually made some plans. Thats a first, :o I usually do the Lowbuck thing and wait till the last min.

BTW---LOWBUCK when you coming out :?:

Wood put us down for 3-5 and 10-12 and I think 06raptorrider is joining us. Probability wash 16 or farther if it is crowded don't want to abuse Yuki with that leash thing.

All are welcome just look for the Getto-rig. The room with a porch. Sorry Wood no pict, to
Red F150 w/blue car trailer with a pop-up camper on it and a Red Queensland Heeler hanging out on the lawn.

WOW that will be 3 --yes count them 3-3-3 weekends in a row \:D/ \:D/

In that case, you'd better not forget the cranberry sauce or you'll do without.

ok I guess I can't be the only last minute planner. I'll take Nov 9-12 and we usually camp in Wash 8-12. It will just be a buddy and I (trying to get away from the girls for a weekend). The only whining I want to hear will be coming from my banshee.

I'm trying to get to Dumont before for T-Day week, but leaving to be home for Turkey.

Hummmmmm

My calander says Nove 11 is Saturday not the tenth [10th]... :?

Why don't you come on by and do the Mini Clean and then go on a ride "From" Olds to the Big Bowls?

How hard do you want it?

How about a Rail led, fast run that any kind of travel rail would like? And that quads and bikes would be slurring their words after ?
That's the kind of ride I want...

One [or two] bags of Trash...
Then, off we go!

Who's in?

Crowdog, I can include dates in the list above if you want.

Ahh, you must be looking at a 2006 calendar. In 2007 Nov 10 is on a Saturday.
That's not the first time I've made that mistake. I guess it's not smart to hang two calendars on the wall above your desk.

Sounds good to me, how about the rest of you guys? We hit the clean up, meet up with OBSESSED, then head out for a hold-on-for-dear-life ride. :P

Sounds great! There is no loser in those plans. The dunes get cleaned, we get to go a year earlier than Mike planned on, and a good hard ride.

Can the ride be one of those where it is hard to get off the bike when we are done? I don't care if it's a rail leading. From the sounds of it, the riders we have going will be able to handle any thrown at us, so why not make it a shin-dig.

A shin-dig it is!!! :P

To everyone else: It's sounds like its ramped up to be a pretty hard ride, so reconsider if you're not comfortable with that.

We've got....
Obsessed leading a post Clean Up pack of quads including: alyshka, GlamisLovingFool, dune4d and Woodglue!!

norocksplease, cbase31 and f-Bob, how about you guys?
Anyone else?

Norocks, 06RaptorRyder? You guys in on the "good hard" ride after the mini clean up? Instead of a Shin-Dig, lets call it a paddle-dig!

Wood, I would, but it looks like we will not be going on the 11th as previously planned due to my work schedule

I agree, paddle-dig is better.
Here's one to add to the Red Neck Dictionary: Shin Digs
You're riding along really fast, hit a bump, your right leg slips off your quads foot-pag, gets sucked under the rear tire and your shin digs into the foot peg. #-o

f-Bob, sorry to hear.... I'll update the schedule for you. :?

Take me off the November list :( There was something about carring around and holding the gearbox in place to get it in my Ody that my neck and shoulders didn't like. I can look down, and I can look to my right pretty good but left, and up just isn't possible #-o "No lifting over 10lbs untill I get full range of motion back in my neck and shoulders THEN nothing over 25 lbs for a good week or two after that." I guess that means can put together all my stuff as long as the bolts don't need to be tightend. So lets see do I hope I wake up in the morning and feel fine then wait two weeks to put my Ody together so I can go out to wash 40 for Thanksgiving? OR do I take er easy and get my ody AND my rail ready for New Years? :-k Oh and part of the healing process WILL BE spending my saved Glamis gas money at the tables in Laughlin. So it won't be like I'll be stuck at home :D I just won't be in the dunes anytime soon. :-({|= :-({|=

And MAYBE I'll have Below 10K up sooner too 8)
