B.
The BLM will present an overview of the draft Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area Management Plan (RAMP) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The RAMP/EIS outlines the future management of the 160,000-acre Dunes located in eastern Imperial County and analyzes the environmental impacts of the many land management issues. The BLM initiated a 90-day public comment period which will end June 24, 2010.

Sitting at the meeting now they just got done with this issue and gees what a ride, the Commission voted to to ask for more time for the public to comment, other than that not taking a position which is perhaps the smart and safe move considering the complexity...TJ [-o<
