BLM Reinstates Season Permit

Post by nixsternik » Fri May 17, 2013 4:02 pm

This was just posted on ISDRA FB page, we can't help but think this revision was because of the overwhelming comments BLM received from ASA members. We appreciate your support.

In response to comments from the County of Imperial and members of the public over the past few months, the ISDRA Business Plan has been revised. The BLM will be including a season permit in the final business plan. The proposed fee structure will be:

$35 Weekly (off-site vendor or online)
$50 Weekly (on-site)
$150 Season Permit (off-site or online)
$25 Second Weekly Permit (Can be for different week or same week different vehicle -- online only)

The revised ISDRA Business Plan will be released for public review on May 31.

Please send additional comments to blm_ca_isdra@blm.gov.

The prices are still higher with no explanation why they need to increase the fees.

This is such total crap! I just dont go to the dunes anymore. $50 for a week to be hassled going in and out when I'm only staying 3-4 days. Yeah no, would much rather be in rock o tillo wells. The rangers will ride into camp say hello give you maps and trash bags and stuff for the kids. Way better than the isdra. Let me guess comp is still closed....only half the visitors but quadruple the prices from 10 years ago.
