Oasis Changed Hands

Post by RichB » Mon Jan 22, 2007 4:33 pm

Called in my August reservations today and spoke with a lady who identified herself as Renee Young. She said "they" (her and hubby I presume) had just bought the place 2 weeks ago and were trying to figure out how to get in the flow of things. Sounded a little frazzled but she did have a good sense of humor about it.

Is that the camp spot on the opposite end of the dunes from Choke Cherry and such?

Sand Hills is farthest from Choke Cherry. Desert Oasis is in the middle - between Sand Hills and the BLM campground at Egin lake.

Thanks Crowdog. Thinking of going to SA in April when the kids are out of skewl.

Its been for sale for quite awhile. My wife and I were actually interested and looked into it last year. They wanted $2,000,000. Wonder what it sold for.

If you are used to going to Sand Mountain when it is cold, St. Anthony won't be a problem. I think the average high in April is in the 50's.

We go to the Mountain in October and March time frames and that is pretty close. I'll have to weigh my options. Thanks for the info.

We went to SA - started at Sand Hill - Moved to Oasis. Went in August and the weather was awesome. Warm during the day and chilly enough at night to have a fire (we parked in the out lot with no hookups.) Loved it! Have fun :D
