Every time there is a slow down in traffic, get the camera and other viewing items ready.

I just love this Papa Bison picture:

I'm at the Grizzly RV park in West Yellowstone. Man this place is awesome! Almost as much as St A's, almost!

They have wifi in the park, connected at 2mbps, not bad. It was 90ish at Desert Oasis but nicer up here.

On our first full day we rented a van from Rexburg (A-Plus rentals) and we went to see Yellowstone. We entered the West gate to Yellowstone in Montana and drove a 320 mile loop through the park and the Grand Tetons National Park. We witnessed the Old Faithful geyser and the Beehive blow their tops. (Beehive only goes off twice a day too.) We didn't see any wildlife, we were there from about 11:30am to 4:00pm.

Next time I want to camp at Yellowstone for a week. Maybe leave the toys in the box @ Sand Hills Resort and go... 8)

11:30 is a little late, but come on, mule deer and buff's were everywhere when we were there...

Herds of buff's

Oh well...

better luck NEXT Time...

If you stay at Sand Hills.. JohnL the camp host can get you a car from enterprise at a corporate rate and they will deliver and pick the car or whatever at your site.. It was $45 a day for a jeep liberty, with unlim. miles... He told me its part of there service.... One a side not He also helped hook me up with a local to assist in hauling a broken car from BLM to SH.. He only charged me 20$ He is the owner of Dune excursions.. They rent quads.. Delivered to your site.. GREAT GUY!!! Keep his number with the number of the welder steve gave you...

Steve, we didn't see any four legged animals in Yellowstone... maybe next time. Did see some 2 legged varieties that were interesting... :D

We rented a 7 pass. van from A-Plus in Rexburg, only $42 a day with 100 miles, after that .12 a mile. Was about $30 less than the Enterprise quote and they didn't have a van available either... It was a super nice van too, a Pontiac Montana that got us 23mpg. And we climbed some mountains too...

Everyone was so helpful at Sand Hills, they drove me into town to pick up the van and picked me and another family up after returning our rentals to A-Plus the next day. Katie had some great stories to tell on the way back too. 8)
