Travel Bug - Bad Timing

Post by RichB » Thu Apr 20, 2006 8:11 pm

Dang, I found my 1st travel bug, it's been from Wisconsin to Vegas and basically not anywhere else since it's inception. It's a "Favorite Place" TB, they want you to go to a favorite place, take a picture/write a few blurbs, and send it out. What sucks is I probably won't be duning again until June :( Would the rules allow it to be mailed from me to another geocaching duner (so it can get to the dunes)?

If nothing else I saved it from a cache that's about to be bulldozed for new houses and if I can't get it to the dunes I'll get it back in circulation here in Vegas.

I don't think there is a rule against mailing a travel bug as long as it ends up in a cache. But.. it would be better to put it in a cache yourself.

Take it Mt. Charleston. If there isn't a cache there already you can start one.

I don't know about you but my mailbox IS one of my favorite places :)

Then again I live through mail order ;)

Why not use it as an excuse to start a cache in a nearby favorite place and give a heads up here first so someone can snag it and get it to the favorite place you really want it at?

Well actually my son has been wanting to start our own cache anyway, so that's a good idea.
