I checked the weather for baker and i think saw some rain...do you think it might rain in that area? HEAD UP THE 15 AND EXIT AT THE BAKER EXIT, IT WILL TAKE YOU TO A 4 WAY STOP. MAKE A LEFT AT THE STOP AND DRIVE LIKE HELL FOR ABOUT 25 MINS UNTIL YOU PASS THE LITTLE DUNES, WHEN YOU PASS THOSE, SLOW DOWN AND LOOK ON YOUR RIGHT FOR THE DIRT ROAD INTO THE DUNES, (THERES A SIGN) cONTINUE DRIVING LIKE HELL ON THIS DIRT ROAD UNTIL YOU CROSS A SMALL RIVER, ONCE ACROOS YOULL WANDER RIGHT INTO THE DUNES AND CAMPING AREAS. ON A SIDE NOTE, YOU DONT WANT THE WIND TO BLOW AT DUMONT WHILE YOURE THERE, IT ROYALLY SUCKS, AND YOU PROBABLY DONT WANT IT TO RAIN TOO MUCH BCAUSE THE STREAM TURNS INTO A RAGING RIVER COMPLETE WITH STUCK TRUCKS. AS FAR AS ESTIMATED MILEAGE GOES, I HAVE NO IDEA BUT I THINK ABOUT 32 MILES FROM THE 4-WAY STOP. HAVE A FUN TRIP, AND BE EXTREMELY CAREFULL- ALL DUNES ARE RAZORBACKS AND STRAIGHT DOWN ON THE OTHER SIDE....I ATE IT GOOD THERE ONE TIME

I would ask Duneshredder. Maybe a PM to him would be in order in case he doesn't see your question on this thread.

P.S. Welcome to the ASA Board!

One problem, we haven't been to dumont since we moved to az. Too far for the amount of riding. But I belive you can take the 10 west to the 95 n, az side in quartzite and hook up with the 40 west in needels the to the 15 to baker. Try map quest from your place to baker ca and see what it says.
