There are some newer cars that have been developed with a CVT type transmission. I believe these have been successfully mated to the Chevy Ecotec engines IIRC. I know that the tazcars from ATVRacing were running some CVT based trannies...but I've also heard that in the sand they eat belts like nobo...

The ears are a little big...but that was only because I had to make them that big to cover your real ears :D If your real ears stuck out more I wouldn't have had to use the fake ones. Kind of like your mouth and mustache - the real ones were way funnier than the Mr. Potato head ones :mrgreen:

Some SA's can be changed to IRS from what I can remember. At least I know you can convert some IRSes to SA's since that was what my car had. I've always just found it easier to drive reasonably. Over 18 years now and not a single speeding ticket. I have been pulled over for speeding a few times, but have always been let off with a warning. (even if a zero tolerance high enforcement zone remarkably.) I don't exactly follow the speed limit...

Even though I may have sounded down on the 1600 I'd suggest running the 1600 before putting money into building an 1835. Again that's unless you happen to have the parts laying around and a friend with a machine shop so you don't have to pay for the machining. Personally I think starting with a 1600...

I'd probably say to take a closer look at a beam front end over the Sand Sprite A-arms. Especially if you're going to be taking it out on hard pack. The Prowlers A-arm front end is pretty minimal and I wouldn't really trust it to hold up in the hard pack. A beam front end is pretty much bullet proof...
