I love the Owens Valley and the 395 corridor from Adelanto all the way up into Oregon. South Lake is one of my favorite fishing holes. The pic is of me and my brother up in the Bishop Creek drainage area.

Per BLM: The annual permits are non-transferable from one vehicle to another, i.e. regardless if one's windshiled has been cracked after the permit has been placed on the windshield. The rule applies to vehicles that have been in accidents/totaled, sold, etc. I think the BLM should make an allowance...

Thanks for info Doc. Its hard for me and others to understand the proposed permit fee increase. A summary proposal is just not good enough when they are proposing a substantial increase in the permit fee.

@John, Did you get out to OW? If so, you can see the difference in the amenities and there are no fees at OW. I guess its the difference between State and Federal or apples and oranges. Of all of the Fed gov agencies I believe that BLM pulls in a lot of $$$, e.g. leasing of land, mineral rights, etc...
