Re: Too much traction - paddle tires

This was my approach to a similar problem with my quad: http://www.americansandassociation.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27303 Worked wonders in helping me run with the higher HP quads. Last weekend a friend borrowed a set of my cut paddles for his 400EX with a 440 kit on it and he was shocked by ...

Make your 400cc quad faster by modifying your paddle tires

If you think about it, most people with stock 400cc quads use the same 20x11x10 8 paddle tires as the much more powerful 450cc and larger quads. The 400cc quad doesn't need that much paddle, and in fact, is underpowered for those tires. Cutting the paddles shorter allows the quad to spin the tires m...

Scott Desert goggles are similar to the Oakleys; they have a higher density foam on the edges that doesn't let the sand through. They are a bit warmer to wear though since less air gets through too; that said, I love them.

Just a thought: 1) The cracks are near where the securing mount was welded to the pipes. 2) During the heating process the metal becomes weaker as it tries to expand. 3) The mounting bolt prevents the pipes from expanding, actually compressing the metal a little. 4) As the metal cools it contracts/...
