desert racing frequencies

Which are the most common frequencies used on the PCI, Radio Comm, Inc., etc in the buttercup area. Such as MAG 7 or a channel such as this? Also does anyone run a PL on the channels or just keep them open without of PL?

LoBuck, Thanks for the reply. I was thinking maybe of going to the west anyway so what do you think of the midway area and beyond west of there.

Buttercup on Dec 30th

If I come into Buttercup on the 30th of December should I be able to get a good camping spot near the keyhole area? I have never been there during this holiday.

Thanks Jhitesma...I was just assuming it was programmed by a computer. Almost all the scanners are now. Radioreference.com is a good resource.

Proglamis...when I bought my uniden scanners I was completely in the dark as to the programming. I dont have a radio shack scanner but I am assuming they are programmed by a computer. If you sit down and play with the program you will learn how to do it. Trial and error. The frequencies out at the d...

OK....let me back up with some more info. The quad is originally from Canada. It was traded to a guy down in Casa Grande for a car. So the last owner is here in Casa Grande. It has a good VIN on it. Now does that change anything? I thank you guys for the good information.

Buying a Banshee

I am going to buy a 1998 Banshee. The Banshee does not have a title or registration as the original owner is from Canada and purchased it new in Canada. It is not stolen (I have made sure of that) and is good shape. What would I have to do to get a off road license plate and get it registered here i...

BLM was using 168.425 with a pl of 146.2 last weekend at Gordons Well and Buttercup. The ICSO is using the San Diego County 800 site which is very hard to monitor but you can listen to it by having a good trunking scanner such as a Bearcat Trunktracker scanner with APCO P25 incorporated in it. You w...

I have a amateur license and would not operate illegally. Call sign KE7OHM. I have been working with different radios for many years, mostly when I farmed in the uhf and 800 mhz systems, and just got my amateur license. I was also involved in a company called Pro-Tec Communications in Casa Grande an...

The lack of responses tells me that cb radio is not being used but thanks for the one response. I am currently in the process of getting a amateur radio license and so maybe those are used more frequently than the cb radio is.
