What was the weather like when you were there? We were there May 1-7 and the temps were in the 70'-80's. We had 2 1/2 days of hard blowing wind...but at least it didn't rain. I just got back from there (for a week) and it was awesome! Choke Cherry is definitly a workout for all quads. Thunder Mt was also a fun hill to race buddys on, but it gets a little tricky doing a u turn at the top (avoiding your buddies) or ya will fly a long ways. The Desert Oasis RV has just fini...

The clean up was very very successful. We had 100+ people cleaning up Sand Lake and filled a large dumpster. 86-4trax, the host recently moved all the users to a different server. They suggest that you delete your "cookies" and then try to log in. If I have banned you for some reason, you will get a "You've been banned" message. If you are not getting that message, then its probably a cookie issue.

Over Memorial Day, a buddy got a ticket with his Toomies running at 97 db. I believe it was a $100 ticket. I noticed last weekend that the pond at the bottom of the bowl is starting to collect water again. There was a three wheeler that ended up floating up side down in it and the owner went in after it in is boxers just as the Sheriff pulled up! :D

My front window leaking problem got worse this weekend on my FB. It was dripping into the sink and also running down on the counter and onto to floor. I think it is time to pull the window out and start over. I have a black garbage bag and white duct tape covering the window now. Sure is frustrating...

Honestly for me, two years ago I had my head buried in Personal Watercraft related legislation as I wasn't into the duning scene like I am today. :wink: I am really hoping that my involvement with Sand Lake Duners will help make a difference.

Several us (3) with FB models WW have had the front window leak when towing in the rain. Also, my buddy got his new WW home and the linolium (sp?) in the shower came unglued. All three of us had to do lots of calking around the side windows and the the ladder screws to stop leaks too.

FYI -- As the title says, as of May 1st this year there will be a ban on alcohol in the Oregon Dune areas. I understand this also means if you are sand camping, it will not permitted in camp, tents, trailers or vehicles.

I have used panther paddles on just the rear of my t-maxx (w/ OS .15 cvx). It is a kick in the pants in soft sand with paddles, but the motor gets very hot and the stock drive lines wearout very quickly.

FYI - There's a bunch of people going down to pick up trash at Sand Lake on February 15th. The Hebo Ranger station will be supplying garbage bags. We used to jet ski in that little pond at the bottom of the first bowl to flush out the saltwater after riding in the ocean, but I understand that "the lake" is actual on your left just before you get to the campgrounds and parking lots.

Get a "Motorsaver" airfilter. It will keep the sand out. I also oil mine up with K&N filter oil.

When you guys are hauling your WW out on the sand, are you leaving your trailer tires with full air pressure or do you drop em down to about 10 lbs? I hear different things from different people. (I have always left them at full air)
