I have a Garmin emap delux, this is a very user friendly GPS. It is getting harder to find, I think they might have discontinued making them. If you can find one I would take a look at it.

If the rod bearing failed? It could have come from a back fire. As the piston and rod travel up before TDC, and there is detonation. This is great force on the piston and rods, causing damage to internal parts. A piston could break or, a rod bearing to fail. On the rod’s, if the rod bolts are not ...

Who’s gasket are you using? Subaru or aftermarket?
Subaru recommends install dry.
I have used copper gasket spray in the past, and have not had problems.
Make sure your heads and block are flat. (Surfaced)

I agree with all of you that John has a good shop, but Gary at C&G has a good shop also. I believe that there needs to be a good foundation on every project. If someone is on a budget, and then can afford to step it up at a later time, the WRX would be a more sound investment. The WRX in stock form ...

BeachNDunes: Yes you can get some parts for this motor from Subaru (intake manifold gaskets, exh. gaskets, head gaskets). That JDM EJ20 single turbo motor is a good motor for the price. But, the limiting factor for this motor is the Heads. They are a rocker type of head. Not like the WRX witch is a ...

Yes you will need to run a blow off valve. Because: Between shifts you will get compressor surge. That is the compressed air ramming into the throttle plate when it is closed. This will slow down the turbo causing turbo lag, and could also cause damage to the turbo (compressor nut coming off etc.). ...

Blowing thru two 45 del's on a 1914cc VW is big. You should stay with what you have, or go with one 40dhla sidedraft draw thru. If you have to run the 45's? Take a look at CB's book on turbocharging a VW. It's a very good book on turbo's and Dellorto's
