This is from HotVW's magizine Feb 2002 tech talk The early Motorola alternators used an external regulator mounted the rear seat. This alternator setup uses a three-prong plug, along with one large red wire and one small black wire. The large red wire is marked B+, and goes to Battery. The small bla...

Have you ever told someone about your sand rail and just get that look like they have no idea what your talking about. Then say dune buggy and they say ok I know what that is. So when I talk to someone new to the sport i usally say Dunebuggy, even though I have a sand rail.

msd ignition, what do you think?

Need some help.
Is it worth getting MSD ignition and distributor? I’m currently run 009 with Pertonix pointless ignition. Would there any gain in performance if I switched to MSD?

VWType 1 2074, CB Peformance 044(42x37), 110 cam and dual Webber 44’s

Thanks
Dave

I've been running BFG lt265/75r16(load d/3042@65psi) for about three years with no problems. I tow about 4000lb trailer(loaded) with a 2200lbs camper on the bed.
just my two cents
