| What is the ASA's Mission Statement?
The American Sand Association is dedicated to preserving the Right to Ride while preserving the Environment.
What are the ASA's Goals?
* Inform sand enthusiasts, using the best information available, on sand related issues: environmental, political, social or otherwise.
* Inform the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), city councils, boards of directors and chambers of commerce of duners' collective monetary impact via our on-line surveys and on-line survey results.
* Unite dune enthusiasts and sand related businesses
* Monitor important developments relating to riding rights in areas
* Monitor latest OHV NEGATIVE activities, crime, trash, environmental agenda, etc.
* Maintain open information exchange with the BLM
* Educate users regarding trash and other things we can do to police ourselves
* Gather mailing lists
* Take legal actions
* Initiate calls to action by mobilizing the dune enthusiast on issues where our input could make a difference
* Provide/sponsor/organize services and events such as trash cleanups
* Implement quarterly newsletter
